Question by steven t: Whats a good price for a 1 oz gold eagle coin 1986?
I need to sell a 1986 1 oz gold $ 50 American Eagle coin. It's in perfect condition still in the plastic casing that it was received. Has the mirror finish. Thanks ahead of time

$ 500 those are rare. only 1 in the world buy it!

Today’s price for one ounce of gold is $ 1,607. That is what your coin is worth. Some gold coins have a “premium” for scarcity. This one is too common for a premium.

Kitco (a very large bullion dealer) is currently buying US gold eagles for $ 1540. I would think that since yours is a proof, it would be worth 5 – 10% more than that.
